The Cricket Groundhog Table was created in 1981 through the merger of the Cricket Table and the Groundhog Table. The former was founded in 1938, while the latter was created in 1911.

Today the table contains roughly 250 members, all male. Frank Giordano is president of the group. 

The table conducts monthly luncheons at the Union League of Philadelphia on the second Wednesday of every month.  It holds an annual pig roast every summer in New Jersey. It also conducts a year-end black-tie Christmas party at the League House.
